This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to develop their career and join us in our Sales Team in Bracknell.

Within a fast-paced environment, you’ll have the chance to develop your IT knowledge, as well as your sales skills.

Working from vibrant offices, as a Business Development Executive / Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling leading, tier 1 manufactured hardware.

Working within the Telesales Team, you’ll actively promote the company’s products and services to channel partners.

In this challenging and rewarding role, your duties will include:

  • Working closely with the Management Team to generate increased revenue and margin
  • Utilising our large database of existing and new opportunities to maximise sales
  • Helping customers to fulfil their daily procurement needs

Main duties and responsibilities

To be considered for this role, you must have a background in IT hardware telephone-based sales. Equally important is your tenacity and drive as well as your team working and communication skills.

Major areas of responsibility

  • To be the main point of contact and first point of escalation in day-to-day purchasing issues
  • To purchase the products required to fulfil customer orders
  • To ensure stock of returned goods is kept as low as possible, and to ensure that this stock is used to fulfil a customer order where applicable

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Ensuring orders are placed and managed effectively
  • Resolving order and supplier issues quickly and efficiently
  • Making sure returned stock kept on site is kept at a minimum level
  • Advising of sales staff of the correct procedures and raising of orders
  • The creation and maintenance of supplier contact details through Microsoft Navision
  • The upkeep and maintenance of the Channel-C back order reports
  • The tracking of rebates & ensuring supplier spend is in line with current rebate requirements
  • The approval of new items being keyed on to the computer system
  • Ensuring invoice queries are resolved efficiently
  • Escalating vendor/supplier issues through the correct channels
  • Being aware of the profit implication of stock holding costs, including redundant stock and damaged stock
  • Negotiation of pricing on purchases & deals
  • Re-sourcing of stock to optimise lead times
  • Maintenance of supplier relationships


  • At least 5 GCSEs at A – C
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply


Experience in a purchasing team, strong administration experience and high levels of accuracy


High level of Microsoft Office proficiency, including a strong working knowledge of Word and Excel


  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident approach to dealing with suppliers and internal customers
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to contribute effectively in a team setting
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Strong ability to cope well in a fast-paced environment
